It is both a serious and silly game, and the juxtaposition will not be lost on most players.
This is a game that deals with death but also has a character named Hot Diggity Dog. In fact, it may lead you, as it did me, to jump to conclusions that never come to fruition.
But it is important to stress the severity of the content warning and that knowing the game deals with suicide and depression doesn’t actually take anything away. Ultimately, Omori is one of those games where the less you know about the plot, the better. Sure, plenty of similarities exist, and I do think that fans of Undertale will enjoy Omori, but man is Omori in its own category here, for better or worse. But that does this game an incredible disservice. While at a glance, it may be easy to write this off as something chasing the popularity of Undertale. Having been Kickstarted in 2014, Omori seems to have gone under many people’s radar, myself included. He's discovered a bunch of recipes in his adventures, and he uses tons of exotic foods to make meals. He can now make all sorts of warm meals, like pot pies and roasts. Every time he has to make dinner, he gets really ott. She can make you something like toast, order something or heat up food, but she burns most food she makes. His lasagne is the solution to all the world's issues. But, if it contains meat and tomatoes, he's an expert. He can make a fairly wide range of meals. Often times, though, he stays simple with basic meals. And, he's surprisingly good with barbecues. He's better at cooking than Omori, but his repertoire is still small. But, she likes to stick with simple things, so her go-tos are often things like pasta or toasties. She can cook quite well, with a lot of practice under her belt. But, everyone agrees that his cinnamon rolls are superb. He likes to make pastries, and he's really good at it! He enjoys making large batches for you and his friends. They always end up tasting like little bites of heaven, though!
Hero's a chef in the making, and he loves to try out recipes with you. But, cupcakes are her favourites because she likes to decorate. With Hero and Mari as honorary siblings, she's mastered a fair few recipes. He can make homemade pizza like nobody can, though! Hero taught him a few recipes, but he can only make a few. I'm gonna be upfront: Kel is a surprisingly good chef. Sometimes, it'll be toasted! Ah well, it's the thought that counts. He's not that much of a chef, but he'd try his best and make you a fresh sandwich.
